During this event we will hold our Annual Business Meeting where we will report on the activities and the success of our activities over the year. Our Annual Business Meeting will be followed by a presentation by Lisa Goodfellow from Miller Thomson LLP on Work from Home - Doing it Right: Policies and Legal Considerations for the New Normal.
With a significant number of employees working from home during Covid, and liking it, many will want to do so post-Covid too. This session will cover legal issues such as WSIB and OHSA coverage, legal compliance, privacy issues, and recommended policies to protect the business and set expectations.
Learning Objectives:
- Learn whether and how WSIB applies to WFH
- Understand your OHSA obligations
- Designing a WFH policy to address key business issues and HR concerns
During registration, please consider the donation option. Donated funds collected through this event registration will be equally divided between Indspire and Black Youth Helpline, preferred charities identified by HRPA members in a recent survey.
CANCELLATION POLICY: ALL cancellations MUST be received in writing, 3 business days in advance of the event, to chaptercancellations@hrpa.ca. Registration fees are 100% non-refundable after that time. If it is a complimentary event, a $30 no-show fee invoice will be issued to those registrants who do not attend and have not provided the required notice. Cancellation Deadline is Mon. May 10/21.
